Per Christian Münstermann (born February 9, 1999 in Düren ) is a German cyclist who is active on track and road .

Athletic career

In terms of sport, Per Christian Münstermann began with athletics until he switched to cycling in 2010. In 2011 he went to SG Radschläger Düsseldorf .

In the following year, Münstermann decided the youth event of Rund um Köln for itself. In 2016 he became German junior champion in the Omnium in Cottbus , in the points race he finished second and in the single pursuit third. The following year, he won together with Nils Weispfennig the title in the two-team driving and with the junior team of rose Team NRW in Genthin the national championship in the team time trial . At the junior track world championships in the same year he finished fourth together with Rico Brückner in the two-man team.

In 2018, Per Christian Münstermann received a contract with the Continental Team Team Sauerland NRW p / b SKS GERMANY . In the same year he finished eighth at the German road championships as part of the three-country championship in road races of the U23s.

Honors

In 2017 Münstermann was honored as Düsseldorf's “Junior Sportsman of the Year”. Also in 2017 he was awarded the “Golden Lion” as Sportsman of the Year in his hometown Düren.
