Daniel Xuereb (born June 22, 1959 in Gardanne ) is a former French football player and coach . He played for France eight times in the 1980s. As a player from RC Lens (1981-1986), he was appointed to the Olympic team of France with which he won the gold medal in 1984 in Los Angeles . Xuereb scored in the final. Two years later he went to the soccer World Cup in Mexico . Here France was only defeated in the semi-finals.
He coached CA Digne and Pertuis in the 1990s and AS Aix between 2008 and 2009.
