Daniel Zorn (* 1981 in Göppingen ) is a German financial scientist , business lawyer , entrepreneur and university professor .

Life

After completing secondary school, Zorn initially completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk from 1998 to 2001 . After obtaining the subject-specific university entrance qualification, he began studying business law in 2004 , specializing in tax law, auditing and corporate management. Since 2007 he holds the academic degree of business lawyer (FH), since 2009 that of Master of Laws (LL.M.). After nearly four years of doctoral studies as an external PhD student at the University of Economics in Bratislava (Supervisor: Peter Markovic) made at the end of 2013, the promotion of Doctor of Public Finance with the work "influences of the fair value of selected investment decisions taking into account accounting standards".

From 2009 to 2015 Zorn worked as a business lawyer in a medium-sized tax consultancy and auditing company in Stuttgart.

In the 2015 summer semester, he was appointed professor of business administration, in particular accounting and controlling, at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Economics and Environment .

Since 2016, Zorn has held a visiting professorship in finance, corporate finance and controlling at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj . He also accompanies various teaching assignments at national and international universities and colleges.

Zorn is the (co) author of various textbooks, a monograph and the author of a large number of scientific articles. Furthermore, he advises medium-sized companies on questions of accounting and controlling.

Zorn is particularly concerned with national and international accounting as well as the annual audit of medium-sized companies. He also conducts research on issues relating to balance sheet management, balance sheet analysis and audit-related advice.
