Daniela Baumer

Daniela Baumer (born September 8, 1971 in Herblingen near Schaffhausen ) is a former Swiss kayaker .

Baumer has been canoeing since she was 12 and is multiple Swiss champion in single kayak (K1), two-person kayak (K2) and four-kayak (K4). She started for the Schaffhausen Canoe Club. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, she and Ingrid Haralamoff, Gabi Müller and Sabine Eichenberger won the silver medal for Switzerland in a 500 m four-kayak, behind Germany and ahead of Sweden.

Baumer resigned from competitive sports in 1998 in order to work as a teacher in Schaffhausen and Schleitheim . Today she is married to Daniel Tenger, has three children and, together with her husband, runs a large dairy and fattening farm in Schleitheim, the "Im Frühling" farm.
