Daniele Balli (born September 16, 1967 in Florence ) is an Italian football player , he plays in the position of goalkeeper .

Career

Daniele began his career at FC Empoli near his hometown of Florence , where he was not used in the first team and was therefore loaned out to Serie C clubs. Balli returned to Empoli for the 1991/92 season, but was again only used sporadically. It was not until the 1994/95 season that Balli was used more often and one season later he was Empoli's first goalkeeper. For the 1997/98 season Balli moved to the Serie B club Salernitana Calcio , where he became a regular goalkeeper straight away and was able to celebrate promotion to Serie A in his first season . In Serie A, Balli was still able to assert himself in the regular formation, at the end of the season he still moved to Ternana Calcio in Serie B. After a season he moved back to Tuscany this time to league rivals AC Pistoiese . At the end of the season Balli moved again this time to AG Nocerina . For the 2003/04 season Balli returned to his home club FC Empoli, which was now back in Serie A. With Empoli, he was relegated to Serie B in 2004 and back to Serie A the following year. When the club was relegated again in 2008, Balli was released. In February 2009 he was signed by Pisa Calcio . However, this contract was terminated a few days later. According to information from the club, the main reason for this was Ballis' concern that he would not be able to perform well. He was then committed by Cerretese Calcio.
