Dankunku (name variants: Dankunku Fula ) is a town in the West African state of Gambia .
According to a calculation for 2013, about 1543 inhabitants live there, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 1679.

Dankunku, in the Central River Region in the Niamina Dankunku District , lies on the southern bank of the Gambia River . The place is about 8.5 kilometers west of Choya on the South Bank Road .
