Danny Holly (born October 3, 1979 in Seymour, Indiana ), also written Hollie or Holliday , is an American wrestler who competes under his ring name Danny Basham .

Career

Ohio Valley Wrestling

At the beginning of his career he appeared in the WWE Development League Ohio Valley Wrestling relatively successfully as The Damaja . He was OVW Heavyweight Champion and OVW Southern Tag Team Champion several times.

World Wrestling Entertainment

From 2003 he was issued under the name Danny Basham as the brother of wrestler Doug Basham and with this in the cast of the main show SmackDown! where they formed the Basham Brothers tag team . In October 2003 they were allowed to secure the WWE Tag Team titles of Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero for the first time and held them until the No Way Out event in 2004.

At the beginning of December 2004 it was added to the stable "The Cabinet" managed by JBL . On January 11, 2005, the Basham Brothers were allowed to win the WWE Tag Team titles for the second time by defeating Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio . On June 16, 2005, it was announced that they were leaving the Cabinet. In the course of the line-up change in 2005, Danny Basham was allowed to switch to RAW , while his tag team partner at SmackDown! stayed. After that he almost only had dark matches on RAW and a few appearances on the sub-show Heat.

In July 2006, the Basham Brothers reunited, and the two competed as Paul Heyman's companion in the newly formed ECW . But even there they found no use for them in the long term and sent Danny Basham back to Ohio Valley Wrestling before he had to leave the WWE in the wake of the wave of layoffs in January 2007.

Shortly after his release, he signed, together with Doug Basham, who was also released from the WWE, a contract with TNA , where they again formed a tag team and called themselves Damaja and Basham . However, they were released after a short time because Danny Basham put on a no show at a TNA Impact Taping .
