Danny Freymark
Danny Freymark (born April 9, 1983 in Berlin-Friedrichshain ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since 2011 and environmental policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group . Since 2016 he has also been Parliamentary Managing Director of the CDU parliamentary group.
Life and work
From 1999 to 2002 Freymark completed an apprenticeship as a retailer . From 2005 to 2012 he worked as a commercial clerk. Freymark finished his studies in business administration at the University of Technology and Economics in Berlin in 2012 .
politics
Danny Freymark joined the Schüler Union and Junge Union as a teenager and was, among other things, state chairman of the Berliner Schüler Union, state treasurer of the Junge Union Berlin and district chairman of the Junge Union Lichtenberg. In addition, he was involved in the CDU Lichtenberg, especially in the Hohenschönhausen district. Since 2011 he has been the local chairman of the CDU Hohenschönhausen.
On September 18, 2011 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives in the Berlin House of Representatives 2011 with 15.2% of the first votes on the district list. He was a member of the Petitions Committee , the Committee for Civic Engagement, the Committee for Building, Housing and Transport, and the Committee for Urban Development and the Environment.
On September 18, 2016, he was re-elected via the district list with an increase of 5.8 percentage points in the first vote result, with 21.0% of the first votes in total. This gain was the highest percentage of all 78 direct candidates from the CDU Berlin. A few weeks later he was elected one of three parliamentary directors of the CDU parliamentary group in Berlin and confirmed in this office two years later. He is currently a member of the Petitions Committee, the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection Committee, the Participation Management subcommittee and the Health Committee.
In addition, Freymark is involved in various associations and non-partisan institutions, such as the support group Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe e. V. in Hohenschönhausen and Berlin. He is also the chairman of the “Campus of Democracy” support group. Since 2019 he has been the spokesman for all environmental policy spokesmen for the CDU parliamentary groups in the state parliaments.
During the election campaign for the 2013 federal elections , he was campaign manager for the CDU in the Berlin-Lichtenberg constituency .
