Danny Hoch
Danny Hoch (born November 23, 1970 in New York City ) is an American actor .
Life and accomplishments
Hoch graduated from New York High School of Performing Arts . He made his debut in the 1996 film Sureshot . In the independent comedy Hands Off Darling! (1997) he played one of the bigger roles alongside Liev Schreiber . In the comedy Whiteboyz (1999) he took the lead role; the then little known Piper Perabo played his girlfriend in this film.
In the docudrama Jails, Hospitals & Hip-Hop (2000), Hoch worked as a director and screenwriter, for which he and Mark Benjamin received a prize from the Urbanworld Film Festival in 2000 . In the same year he founded the Hip-Hop Theater Festival . In 2001 he played the US soldier Dominick Pilla in Black Hawk Down , the first fallen soldier in the Battle of Mogadishu . In 2007 he played a bigger role alongside Joaquin Phoenix , Eva Mendes , Mark Wahlberg and Robert Duvall in the thriller Heroes of the Night - We Own the Night .
