Flip dreams of becoming a star of hip hop music. He learns the African American slang and dresses like the participants in the subculture. He practices intensively with James and Trevor. His girlfriend Sara, with whom he wants to move to Chicago , becomes pregnant.

Reviews

Ryan Cracknell wrote in the Apollo Movie Guide that the comedy was only funny for the first half hour - after that the jokes would be repeated too often. The pathetic way in which Danny Hoch played his part and similar pathetic dialogues would still make you laugh. There are numerous cameo appearances by the well-known rappers.

Marc Levin was nominated for a special award at the Deauville Film Festival in 1999. In 2000 he was nominated for the Grand Prix of the Paris Film Festival .
