André Höhl (born May 29, 1967 in Leipzig ) is a German dancer , cabaret artist and actor .

Live and act

André Höhl grew up near Leipzig. After graduating from high school, he completed classical training in ballet dance , pas de deux , jazz and also in Spanish folklore at the State Ballet School in Leipzig. During his training, he was cast in various roles on the stage at the Leipzig Opera House . He also took part in dance competitions within the GDR . At the end of his training, he passed his state examination in dance practice. In addition to this artistic degree, he passed a second state examination in literature.

After completing his studies, he worked for three years at the Leipzig Opera House for three years. In 1989 he switched to the German TV Ballet of the East German Television . Soon he was appointed soloist in this ballet. Since then he has worked with the choreographers Ferenc Salmayer, Emöke Pöstenyi , Ophelia Vilarova, Jana Torneva and others.

With the end of television in the GDR on December 31, 1991, his further activity with the television ballet was initially endangered, due to the restart and the relocation of the ballet to the MDR , he can still be seen as a soloist in productions of the MDR, the ARD and the ZDF.

With the TV ballet he danced with artists Marika Rökk (as the last dance partner), with Ute Lemper , Dagmar Frederic , Petra Kusch-Lück , Helga Hahnemann , Marlène Charell , Helene Fischer , Dagmar Koller and Stefanie Hertel . André Höhl is also repeatedly involved in the choreography of programs with young dance ensembles.

In an edition of the Long Saturday of the MDR television, he showed himself in March 2007 as an actor in the comic field. In addition to the cabaret artist Katrin Weber , he appeared in the MDR New Year's Eve show in 2007 and in February 2008 at the Long Saturday “The Great Joke Evening” alongside Dieter Bellmann as a cabaret artist. In July 2008 the MDR broadcast the show "Red lips should be kissed", in which Höhl appeared as a sketch partner of René Koch . Since the beginning of 2009 Höhl has been a regular guest in the sketch show “How funny, Ms. Weber!” On MDR.
