Danny Miranda (born March 21, 1964 in Brooklyn ) is an American bass player . He was a member of Blue Öyster Cult and a live musician from Queen + Paul Rodgers .

Between 1995 and 2004 Miranda was the bass player for the American band Blue Öyster Cult; even after that he occasionally performed with her. With this group he recorded the studio albums Heaven Forbid and Curse of the Hidden Mirror ; in the latter he was also involved in the songwriting.

In 2004 he played bass in the Las Vegas production of the Queen musical We Will Rock You . From 2005 to 2008 he accompanied Queen + Paul Rodgers at their concerts as bassist. He also sang backing vocals and played acoustic guitar (in Say It's Not True on the 2005/6 tours) and double bass (in 2008 on the bass solo with Roger Taylor ).

Together with Tony Moore, the former singer of the heavy metal band Riot , Miranda is a member of the group Faith and Fire, which released the album Accelerator in 2006.

Since the beginning of July 2010 Miranda has been the bass player for Meat Loaf's " Hang Cool " tour.
