Danutė Remeikienė

Danutė Remeikienė (born February 10, 1960 in Alytus ) is a Lithuanian educator , education manager and head of a college in the southern Lithuanian region of Dzūkija .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Alytus, Danutė Remeikienė graduated in 1984 with a degree in economics from Vilnius University in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius and became a qualified commercial economist. In 1995 she completed her studies in engineering economics and management at the Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universitetas and in 2002 the master’s degree in economics and management at the Kauno technologijos universitetas in Kaunas .

From 2008 to 2019, Danutė Remeikienė was director of the Alytus College and taught there as a lecturer . In 2013 and 2018 she was repeatedly elected for a further term in this position by the Ministry of Education of Lithuania .

Danutė Remeikienė was a member of the council of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts , member of the board of the Lithuanian Consortium for Development of Distance Learning Network (LieDM), member of the Presidium of the Conference of Directors of Lithuanian Colleges (LKDK) and the European Association of Teachers. In 2015 she took part in the local elections in Lithuania in 2015 in the list of the Darbo partija party as a candidate for the council of the municipality of Alytus .

Danutė Remeikienė speaks Russian, Polish, English and Ukrainian (in addition to her native Lithuanian).

Danutė Remeikienė is married.
