Darcis Chocolat et Pâtisserie is a manufacturer of original chocolates and pâtisserie with headquarters in Verviers , Belgium .

history

Jean-Philippe Darcis founded the Chocolaterie Darcis in 1996 in Wallonia , Belgium ; the headquarters are still in Verviers today. In 2016, a new factory with production, administration, museum and café was opened in the new business district Crescent d'Eau. In the museum, the history and the process of chocolate production are clearly presented.

The company employed around 50 people in 2019. In addition to an online shop, the company has nine sales outlets in Belgium, and more are planned in Luxembourg and Taiwan .

Products

The manufactory produces a range of chocolate products, patisserie and bread products. Darcis' core business is bean-to-bar chocolate bars, bean-to-bonbon pralines and macarons, as well as chocolate bars, hot cocoa, patisserie, bread, candied fruit and other confectionery. The original chocolates come from selected plantations in eight cultivation areas ( Peru , Cuba , Ecuador , Venezuela , Mexico , Cameroon , Madagascar and Vietnam ) and are roasted, ground, rolled, conched and in the in-house factory in small batches In branches or online.

  • 2015: 2 gold medals and 4 bronze medals at the "International Chocolate Awards"
