Coordinates: 33 ° 19 ′ S , 115 ° 42 ′ E The Shire of Dardanup is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 527 km² and has about 14,000 inhabitants (2016).
Dardanup is located in the southwest of the state on the Great Northern Highway about 160 kilometers south of the capital Perth and east of Bunbury . The headquarters of the Shire Council is located in the Eaton district of the city of Bunbury, where around 8500 people live (2016).

The Dardanup Council has ten members. They are elected by all residents of the Shire. Dardanup is not divided into districts. The chairman of the council (Shire President) is also recruited from among the councilors.
