Darigha Nursultanqysy Nazarbayeva ( Kazakh Дариға Нұрсұлтанқызы Назарбаева , Russian Дарига Нурсултановна Назарбаева / Dariga Nazarbayeva Nursultanowna * 7. May 1963 in Temirtau , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Kazakh entrepreneur. In 2014, Nazarbayeva was elected vice-spokeswoman for the Maschilis .

Life

Darigha Nazarbayeva studied from 1980 to 1983 at the Faculty of History at Lomonosov University in Moscow. In 1985 she completed the same subject at the Kazakh State University named Sergei Kirov (now Al-Farabi University in Almaty). Between 1995 and 1998 she worked as general director of the republican state company " Agentur Xäbär ". In 2001, Nazarbayeva was promoted to chairman of the company's board of directors. From 2004 to 2007 she was a member of the Republican Party " Assar " in the parliament of Kazakhstan. For the next five years she headed the Foundation of the First President of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation .

On April 3, 2014, Nazarbayeva was elected deputy chairman of the Maschilis of the fifth convocation. At the same time she became the leader of the ruling party " Nur-Otan ". On April 11, 2015, Nazarbayeva was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She was dismissed from her position as chairman of the Senate on May 2, 2020.

She is the eldest daughter of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and was married to the Kazakh politician and diplomat Rachat Aliyev from 1983 to 2007 . The marriage was divorced in 2007 in the absence and without consent of Aliyev, who died in 2015.
