Darius Outlaw

Darius Outlaw (born July 8, 1981 ) is a retired American football player .

Life

The 1.88 meter measuring outlaw played at Paulding County High School in the US state of Georgia and then until 2003 at the University of Missouri (first as quarterback , then as passport holder).

For the 2004 season he moved to the top German division, the GFL , to the Hamburg Blue Devils . In 2005 Outlaw was a member of the Hamburg Eagles in the second division, where he played with Curtis Cooper as with the Blue Devils  . Outlaw and Cooper went back to the Berlin Adlers in 2006 and thus to the top German league.

In the 2007 season Outlaw played for the Cologne Falcons , then from 2008 for the Darmstadt Diamonds (both in the GFL). With Darmstadt he was relegated from the top German league. First, in the run-up to the 2009 season, his contract extension in Darmstadt was announced, but he did not stay with the Hessians after all, but ran for the Berlin Rebels (second division). Outlaw achieved promotion to the GFL with the capital city in 2009. Relegation followed in 2010, but re-emergence in 2011. He also got involved with the Berliners as an assistant and youth coach and initially stayed at the club until the end of the 2013 season.

In the 2014 season Outlaw wore the colors of the city rival Berlin Adler . In July 2014 he won the Eurobowl with the Eagles , Outlaw was named the best player in the game against the Braunschweig Lions . In the run-up to the 2015 season, he returned to the Berlin Rebels. After the end of the 2016 season, Outlaw withdrew from competitive football, but reversed this decision and also played for the capital city in the GFL in 2017 before ending his career.
