Curtis Cooper

Curtis Cooper (born April 15, 1978 ) is an American football coach and former player.

Life

Cooper practiced at the Bowsher High School in Toledo (US state Ohio ) in addition to American football also the sports wrestling , athletics and baseball . Then he was a wide receiver on the football team of Independence Community College in the state of Kansas , then until 2002 of the Southeast Missouri State University , while studying communication science.

In 2002 Cooper played for the Cologne Crocodiles in the GFL , in the run-up to the 2003 season he moved within the league to the Hamburg Blue Devils . With the team he won the German championship title in 2003. In the 2004 game year, Cooper was also part of the Blue Devils squad. In 2005 he was a player for the Hamburg Eagles in the second division.

In 2006 he played for the Berlin Adler and in the 2007 season initially for the Cologne Falcons (both in the GFL). He left Cologne in early August 2007 to return to the United States and take a coaching position there. In 2009 Cooper was back in Germany and strengthened the second division team Hamburg Eagles, in 2010 he was part of the Eagles' successor team, the regional division Hamburg Huskies , and from January 2010 he was also the head coach of the regional division Elmshorn Fighting Pirates . In 2011, he returned to the Hamburg Blue Devils as a player, but due to a knee injury, Cooper then moved to the coaching staff of the Hanseatic League and was responsible for looking after the running backs under head coach Max von Garnier . At the same time, Cooper was still in office in Elmshorn. In mid-September 2011 he was dismissed by the Elmshorners because of different views on the team leadership. In 2013, Cooper played for Kaiserslautern Pikes in the second division.
