Darius Jonas Semaška

Darius Jonas Semaška (* 1967 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian diplomat and took up his post as Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Germany on July 11, 2017 .

Life

After graduating from the Jonas Jablonskis Middle School in Kaunas in 1985 , Darius Jonas Semaška completed his degree in mathematics at the University of Vilnius in 1992 . He then studied political science at Aarhus University in Denmark and at the Institute for International Relations and Political Science at Vilnius University. Since 1994 he has been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania . In 2012 he was appointed Ambassador to the Netherlands by President Dalia Grybauskaitė . Before that (2010–2012) he was her advisor.
