Darnell Savage Jr. (* 30th July 1997 in Seaford , Delaware ) is an American football poker players on the position of the safeties for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Maryland .

Early career

Savage Jr. attended the Caravel Academy in Bear , Delaware. He broke his femur during the first game of his junior season. At the Caravel Academy, Savage played offense and defense. During this time he received the Delaware All-State Award.

Savage Jr. signed up to play college football at the University of Maryland.

Savage Jr. played college football at the University of Maryland from 2015 to 2018 . During his college career, he had 182 tackles , eight interceptions , one sack, and two touchdowns . In 2018 he was selected by coaches, media and Phil Steele as the Second Team All-Big Ten.

NFL

Savage was selected by the Green Bay Packers with the 21st pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. On May 2, 2019, Savage signed a four-year contract worth $ 12.5 million.
