Darren Tate Isaac (* 22. October 1972 in London ) is a British trance - DJ and -producer . He is also known by the pseudonyms Jurgen Vries and DT8 Project and for his collaboration with Judge Jules as Angelic .

biography

Darren Tate began his musical career with a collaboration with Judge Jules and his wife Amanda O'Riordan . In June 2000 they released the single "It's My Turn" as Angelic . The single was in the UK singles charts for 10 weeks and reached position 11 as the top position. The follow-up productions "Can't Keep Me Silent" and "Stay With Me" again reached the UK singles charts in 2001 with position 12 and 36. In between, Tate released his first own production "Eternity" under the pseudonym Orion and came in at number 38.

From 2002 he used the pseudonyms Jurgen Vries and DT8 (and later DT8 Project ) and had other chart successes with them. His most successful single to date was "The Opera Song", which he released in February 2003 together with the singer Charlotte Church , which is labeled CMC on the cover . The single reached 3rd place on the UK Singles Chart.

His first solo album was Horizons 01 , which he released under his name in 2006. In 2007 the album Perfect World followed , which he released under the pseudonym DT8 Project. In 2008, Tate produced a cover version of "I Surrender" for Kate Ryan .

Tate owns his own label called Mondo Records , which he founded in 2000.
