The Jewish cemetery Simmern is an old burial place in Simmern , the district town of the Rhein-Hunsrück district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The Jewish cemetery is about 200 m southeast of the communal cemetery. The cemetery has been a protected cultural monument since 1992 .

The Jewish community of Simmern laid out the cemetery in the 18th century. It is first mentioned in 1760. Until around 1840, the dead of the Jewish community in Rheinböllen were also buried in the cemetery. The cemetery was desecrated in 1862, 1871 and 1907. In November 1990 32 tombstones ( mazewot ) were overturned.

The cemetery has an area of ​​18.00 acres , it was expanded in 1838 and the last burial took place in 1937.
