The Daughtery Peaks are a small group of up to 2,680 m high and snow-free mountains in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Southern Cross Mountains they tower over the south face of the Cosmonaut Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them on the basis of their own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1969 after Franklin J. Daughtery (1930–1985), aircraft mechanic of the VX-6 flight squadron and participants in six campaigns as part of Operation Deep Freeze .
