Dave Meniketti
Dave Meniketti (born December 12, 1953 in Oakland , California ) is an American singer and guitarist .
Life
Meniketti founded the rock band Y&T in 1973 , which was successful in the early to mid-1980s. He was the lead singer and lead guitarist of the band, which split up in 1991 and re-founded in 1995 with Meniketti. Since the band continued to fail, he began to concentrate on his solo career. He set up his own recording studio and began recording his first album On the Blue Side , which was influenced by the blues . Three years later his second album Meniketti and the live album Live in Japan were released .
In 1986 he was one of the singers on the Single Stars of of Ronnie James Dio launched charity project Hear 'n Aid .
In 2010 a studio album by Y&T (Facemelter) was released and in 2012 a live double CD, accompanied by extensive tours.
