Dave Sullivan (boxer)
Dave Sullivan (* 10. May 1877 in County Cork , Ireland ; † 1929 ) was an Irish boxer in the featherweight .

On July 27, 1895, Sullivan won his debut fight against the American Barty McGriel by classic knockout in round 2. On September 26, he became universal world champion when he played Solly Smith in a 25-round battle in the 5th lap defeated by TKo. He lost this title in his first title defense in November of the same year to George Dixon through disqualification in round 10.
