David Belenguer Reverte (born December 17, 1972 in Villasar del Mar , Spain ) is a Spanish football player in the service of Betis Sevilla . He plays in the position of central defender and is the team captain.

career

Belenguer first played for Real Madrid C in the Tercera División . In the 1990s he changed clubs several times, between 1993 and 1998 he was with five different clubs. For FC Extremadura , where he played from 1998, he made his first appearance in the Primera División . With the club he rose in 1999 from the Segunda División . After one season he moved to league rivals Betis Sevilla , with whom he made promotion to the first division. After two more seasons, he moved to Getafe in 2003 , with whom he rose to the first division in 2004. In 2007 he was able to move into the cup final with the club trained by Bernd Schuster .

In the summer of 2010, Belenguer returned to his previous club Betis Sevilla in the Segunda División and signed a one-year contract there, which was not extended.

National team

Belenguer has not yet played for the Spanish national team . For this he played several games for the Catalan football team .
