David Bystroň (born November 18, 1982 in Levoča , † May 19, 2017 in Ilanz , Switzerland ) was a Czech football player .

Career

David Bystroň started playing football at FC Baník Ostrava , and in 2001 he made it to the professional squad. By 2008, the defender played 183 games for Ostrava, in which he scored eight goals. In the 2003/04 season he won the Czech championship title.

On June 22, 2008 Bystroň moved to Levski Sofia . On August 13, 2008, the defender made his official debut for Levski in the Champions League qualifier against BATE Baryssau . For Levski, he played 19 A-group games and scored two goals. In the summer of 2009, Bystroň initially moved on loan, in July 2010 definitely to Viktoria Pilsen . The defender tested positive in the Champions League on November 23, 2011. The player denied any wrongdoing, the club requested the analysis of the B sample. On February 9, 2012, he was banned for two years. Most recently, Bystron was part of the US Schluein Ilanz squad in Switzerland. In the friendly against FC Ems1 on February 18, 2017, however, he was absent for private reasons.

David Bystroň committed suicide on 19 May 2017 at the age of 34 at his home in Switzerland suicide .
