David Cayer (born April 9, 1983 in Montréal , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Étoile Noire de Strasbourg in the French Ligue Magnus since 2010 .

Career

David Cayer began his career as a ice hockey player in the junior team Collège Français de Longueuil, for which he was active from 2001 to 2004. The winger then attended Clarkson University for four years and played for their team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . For the 2008/09 season, the right-handed player moved to Étoile Noire de Strasbourg in the French Ligue Magnus , for which he scored 21 goals and made 25 assists in a total of 32 games in his first season in professional ice hockey. The following season he spent at Strasbourg's league rivals HC Amiens Somme , before the Canadian signed again for the 2009/10 season with Étoile Noire de Strasbourg.
