David William DeCastro (* 11. January 1990 in Kirkland , Washington ) is an American American football poker players on the positions of the offensive guards . He plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL).

college

DeCastro, who also appeared as a talented athlete in high school , attended Stanford University and successfully played college football for their team, the Stanford Cardinal, on the position of right guard . He played a total of 39 games and was appointed to various selection teams.

NFL

In the 2012 NFL Draft , he was selected in the 1st round as a total of 24th by the Pittsburgh Steelers . In preparation for the season he suffered a severe ligament injury in his right knee and was only able to play four times in his rookie season, three of them as a starter . In the following seasons he became an important part of the Steelers' offensive line, which is why his team contracted him until 2021 before the start of the 2016 season.

So far, he has been nominated for the Pro Bowl five times , in the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 seasons.
