David E. Sanger

David E. Sanger (born July 5, 1960 in White Plains , New York ) is an American journalist . He works for the New York Times .
career
Sanger graduated from Harvard College . After graduating magna cum laude in 1982 , he accepted a job with the New York Times. During his career, he reported from New York , Tokyo (as head of the international office) and Washington, DC. Since 2006, he has been the chief correspondent in the US capital.
His reporting focuses on foreign policy , globalization , national security and White House affairs.
