David Fermer

David Fermer (* 1973 in Lucerne , Switzerland ) is a British author .

Life

Fermer was born in Lucerne, Switzerland. His parents were English and at the age of four they took him back to England, in the village of Cookham Dean . At the age of eleven, he was making films with a friend. Fermer later studied "Art and Design" at Central Saint Martins College and "Film & Video" at the London College of Printing in London . He graduated from the German Film and Television Academy (dffb) in Berlin . Despite poor knowledge of German, he worked as manager and production manager in the film business .

In 2000 Fermer got a job as a teacher in Cajamarca Peru . There he began to write texts. After a year he returned to Berlin, where he did a part-time job teaching art and English. During this time he continued writing and translating. In 2003 Fermer went to Cologne , where he married and devoted himself to writing.

A friend of Fermer got him a contract with Thienemann Verlag . One of his most famous works is the Nonstop series , which is written in two languages and from two perspectives for teenagers. So far, six copies of this series have appeared.
