David Fernández Borbalán
David Fernández Borbalán (born May 30, 1973 in Almería , Almería province ) is a Spanish football referee of the Primera División . He is a member of the Andalusian Association of Referees ( Comité de Árbitros de Andalucía ).
He began his career on September 12, 2004 in the game Levante Unión Deportiva against Real Racing Club de Santander . He has been an international FIFA referee since January 2010 and made his debut on January 18, 2010 in a friendly between Finland and Korea.
On December 10, 2011, he directed the classic Real Madrid against FC Barcelona .
