David Gordon (writer)
David Gordon (* 1826 or 1831 near Vilna ; † 1886 in Lyck ) was a Hebrew writer, journalist and editor, supporter of the Haskala and one of the earliest supporters of the Zionist movement Chibbat Zion since about 1860 . Initially a language teacher in Liverpool for a few years , he settled in Masuria's capital Lyck in 1858 , where he worked for the Hebrew newspaper Ha-Magid for many years , after Silbermann's death as its editor.
