David Heinemann (* 1819 in Schlipsheim , today part of Neusäß , † 1902 in Munich ) was a German portrait painter and art dealer.

A self-portrait of Heinemann, which is now in the Munich City Museum , and the painting The Decoration of the Bride became known. In 1848, he portrayed the couple brain leg . In 1872 he founded an art shop and gallery in Munich , which was initially located on Promenadeplatz , then on Prinzregentenstraße and finally from 1902 on Lenbachplatz. His sons took over the gallery and also managed branches in Frankfurt am Main, Bad Kissingen and Nice. The shop, later run by his grandson, was “Aryanized” during the National Socialist rule in September 1938 and existed as a gallery on Lenbachplatz until 1954 after the war .
