David Henry (basketball player)

David Henry (born January 6,  1975 ) is a retired American / German basketball player . The two-meter-long wing and inside player came to unit Weißenfels and Avitos Gießen to a total of 44 appearances in the basketball league .

career

Henry played in the United States basketball at the university level and was initially the shirt of Cerritos College (State CA ) and from 1996 to 1998 that in Texas  situated Stephen F. Austin University . In his final season 1997/98 Henry scored an average of 10.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per use.

He switched to professional life and began his career as a professional basketball player at the German club Einheit Weißenfels, with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in the 1998/99 season and for which he played 25 games during the 1999/2000 Bundesliga season, in which he played an average of six Counter posted. Initially, Henry was also in the service of Weißenfels in the 2000/01 season, but switched during the season to Bundesliga competitor Avitos Gießen, where he recorded 4.1 points per encounter in 19 league games.

After a short detour to the second division club TuS Jena at the beginning of the 2001/02 game year (during this time he suffered a serious knee injury) Henry played at Jugend 07 Bergheim and then at SVD 49 Dortmund in the Regionalliga. In the late summer of 2003 an engagement with the second division club Düsseldorf Magics was broken after a probationary period. Henry's last position in the professional field was during the 2004/05 season at ETB Essen . His strengths included versatility and defense work.
