David Horvath (born May 28, 1971 in Summit (New York) ) is an American artist.

Horvath is one of the most important character designers and representatives of the Designer Toy art direction. Together with his wife Sun-Min Kim he created the Uglydolls , the most successful designer toy collection to date . Horvath and Kim's work is known around the world, from the Benettons Fabrica Features Gallery in Hong Kong and Fewmany in Tokyo to Barneys New York and the Whitney Museum of American Art in Manhattan .

Horvath lives and works in Los Angeles , USA and Seoul , South Korea .

Horvath started out as a comic artist and has been intensively involved with designer toys since the success of the Uglydolls made of vinyl or plush.

Horvath was given the honor of designing his own special Dunny Series (2-Face Series) at kidrobot . Other works by him are Noupa, Choco + Minty, Mothman and various series participations, such as B. Qee, Circus Punks and Trexi. He also designed the characters Bossy Bear, Bissy Bear and Turtle.
