David J. Cohen
David J. Cohen (born February 6, 1949 ) is an American lawyer .
Life
He earned a BA from Occidental College in 1969, a JD from UCLA School of Law in 1972, and a Ph.D. in 1981. at the University of Cambridge (Classics / Ancient History). He taught from 1998 to 2002 as Chancellor's Professor , Rhetoric and Classics, at UC Berkeley , from 2004 to 2014 as Sidney and Margaret Ancker Professor for the Humanities, and since 2017 as Professor of Classics at Stanford University .
