AJ Kardar
Akhtar J. Kardar ( Urdu اے جے کاردار) (Born November 25, 1926 in Lahore , British India ; † February 14, 2002 in London ) was a Pakistani director, producer and screenwriter. His best known film Before Dawn was the Pakistani entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 1960 Academy Awards .
His brother was the filmmaker Abdul Rashid Kardar .
Life
Kardar worked as a journalist and studied Art and Cinematography at the London School of Arts & Goldsmith's College. In 1959 he started making films. Kardar has directed three feature films and 59 documentaries.
