David Lunn

David Ramsay Lunn (born July 17, 1930 in Tyneside , England ) is Former Bishop of Sheffield in the Church of England .

life and career

Lunn studied at King's College at the University of Cambridge and then turned to Anglo-Catholicism .

After the Hillsborough disaster in 1989, Lynn presented a plan to avoid such disasters in the future. In 1997 he was made an Honorary Doctor of Sheffield University. He has served as Assistant Bishop in York since the end of his tenure as Bishop of Sheffield.

In his capacity as Bishop of Sheffield, Lunn was a member of the House of Lords from 1985 to 1997 as a spiritual lord .
