David Mottl

David Mottl (born May 5, 1977 in Burglauer ) is a German chef .

Career

After his apprenticeship as a chef in 1991 a. a. At the Bristol Hotel in Bad Kissingen , Mottl moved to Heinz Winkler's residence in Aschau im Chiemgau and to Joachim Wissler in Reinhartshausen Castle , then to Christian Bau in Victor's gourmet restaurant in Perl . He also worked at the starred restaurant Lutece in New York and in top-class restaurants in Spain, Ireland and Switzerland. At Lufthansa in Frankfurt he was responsible for product development and the transfer of star cuisine to the Lufthansa Business Class.

From August 2012 to November 2014 he was head chef at the Marco Polo restaurant in the Columbia Hotel , where he was awarded one star by the Michelin Guide and 17 points by Gault Millau in 2013 . At the end of 2014 the restaurant was closed.

Since 2016 he has been Executive Chef at the Hotel St. Regis Langkawi in Langkawi , Malaysia .
