David O'Leary (Bishop)
David O'Leary OMI (born August 19, 1880 in Kimberley ( South Africa ), † August 12, 1958 ) was Vicar Apostolic of the Transvaal .
Life
David O'Leary joined the Order of Oblate Missionaries and was ordained a priest on July 10, 1910 . On May 13, 1925 he was by Pope Pius XI. Appointed Vicar Apostolic of the Transvaal and Titular Bishop of Fesseë . He received episcopal ordination on September 8, 1925 from Bishop Henri Delalle OMI, as one of the first South African bishops. He resigned on November 25, 1950 and died on August 12, 1958.
