David Parker Ray

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Parker Ray (born November 6, 1939 - May 28, 2002 ) was an American serial killer . He tortured and killed women in bizarre ways with the help of his equally bizarre team of accomplices, u. a. consisting of his girlfriend and daughter. Although a body was never found, his partner accused him of murder. The police assume about 60 murders he is said to have committed in the small town of Truth or Consequences in the US state of New Mexico . He is also called the "Toy Box Killer".

crime

David Parker Ray tortured and killed his victims in a self-made, $ 100,000 soundproof torture chamber, which he called "Toy Box" (in German: toy box). This was equipped with whips, chains, straps, surgical instruments, saws, drills, a gynecological examination chair and other utensils. He clamped his victims' nipples on an electrically charged stretching machine and inserted objects into the vagina and anus of the women.

Upon the arrival of new victims, the exact number of which is not known, a tape recording made by David Parker Ray was played, explaining to them that they were being kept as sex slaves.

The atrocities only came to light when one of its victims managed to escape.

Sentencing and imprisonment

Due to the fact that not a single body was found, David Parker Ray could only be indicted on four counts of kidnapping and rape. In 2001 he received a prison sentence of 224 years, but died of a heart attack a year later.

Others

On October 11, 2011, the FBI , the New Mexico State Police and the Albuquerque Police Department conducted a large-scale search around the Elephant Butte Reservoir to find possible remains of Ray's victims. The authorities also published photos of jewelry and accessories from potential victims.

In November 2011, a woman presented to the authorities and identified herself on an FBI poster that contained several unidentified photos of women.
