David Prieto Gálvez (born January 2, 1983 in Seville ) is a Spanish football player who has been playing for CD Tenerife in the Spanish Segunda División since the 2010/11 season .

Career

Prieto began his career in the youth team of Sevilla FC , where he moved to the B team in 2004. In 2005 he joined the first team of Sevilla FC. He made his debut for Seville on February 6, 2005 against the UD Levante . He was used in the 2005/06 season in the UEFA Cup . Prieto played on December 14, 2005 in the 4th group game against the Bolton Wanderers . The game ended 1-1. Sevilla FC later won the UEFA Cup. He played on loan at Deportivo Xerez in the 2006/07 and 2009/10 seasons before returning to Seville in 2010 .

In autumn 2007 he got the shirt number of the late Antonio Puerta , which was supposed to be banned from Sevilla for eternity. The handover was a proud moment for Prieto. Since then he has been allowed to wear the number 16.
