David Robinson (basketball player, 1969)

David Robinson (born March 4, 1969 in Albuquerque , New Mexico ) is a former American - German basketball player .

Life

Robinson, whose mother was born in Germany , played basketball at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 1987 to 1992 in the first NCAA division. The 2.07 meter tall indoor player was the team's second-best scorer (18.9 points / game) in the 1991/92 season and scored 6.8 rebounds per match, which was the team's maximum. In 2010 he was accepted into the university's hall of fame for a sporting service .

The Mississippi Coast Sharks of the US League Global Basketball Association secured Robinson's services, he then played for the Miami Tropics in the United States Basketball League (USBL). Robinson took part in a trial training session with the Los Angeles Clippers NBA team in 1993  , played for teams in Hong Kong and Montreal, Canada, and was with the Adelaide Super Sixers in Australia in 1993 .

Robinson moved to France in 1994 and brought it for the second division Saint-Brieuc 1994/95 to excellent averages of 15.3 points and 15.4 rebounds per encounter. He also played in the same league in 1995/96, but now for Le Havre (18.2 points and 9.6 rebounds / game), after he was with the Quad City Thunder team under coach Dan Panaggio before moving to Le Havre US league Continental Basketball Association (CBA) was accrued. In 1996 Robinson went to his mother's country of birth and was under contract with Bundesliga club SG Braunschweig in the 1996/97 season .

Between 1997 and 2000 Robinson played for the French first division team Chalon / Saône , he reached his best points during this time in the 1998/99 season with 10.6 per game.
