David S. Alberts

David Stephen Alberts (* 1942 ) is an American statistician and senior staff member with the United States Department of Defense . He was u. a. Research Professor of Operations Research at George Mason University .

Life

David Stephen Alberts studied Statistics at the City College of New York (Bachelor of Arts, 1964) and Operations Research at the University of Pennsylvania (Masters, 1966). In 1968 he made his Ph.D.

He then worked at New York University and the City College of New York and as a research professor at George Mason University . From 1994 to 1996 he was Associate Director of the Institute for National Strategic Studies at National Defense University in Washington, DC and from 1995 to 2011 Research Director of the Office of the Secretary of Defense .
