David Schliesing

David Schliesing (* 1983 ) is a German director and dramaturge .

Life

Schliesing was born in Altmark and grew up in Berlin , where he has been studying drama directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art since 2005 . Before that, he studied German and philosophy at the University of Potsdam and had assistants and internships in Neustrelitz, Neubrandenburg and Berlin.

He completed his first directorial work as well as activities as a musician and actor at the Berlin off-stage room 16 camera dell 'arte . In 2007 he staged a modern stage version of Werther by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin , which integrated music, advertising texts and video elements into the text. The production received appreciative reviews in the press. His work as a dramaturge also receives positive attention in cultural criticism. In June 2009 he staged Georg Büchner's comedy Leonce and Lena as a diploma production at the end of his studies .

Schliesing lives in Berlin.
