Ballet School at the State Ballet

In 2016 Simic founded the ballet school at the State Ballet. Simic, who already has some experience as a choreographer, works with the children every season on various ballet productions and choreographies, which he presents on various stages in Berlin and the surrounding area. The ballet school works in cooperation with the Berlin State Ballet and offers children from 6 to 18 years of age ballet lessons in various classes. A special feature of this ballet school is that, in addition to regular ballet lessons, the children also take master classes with various principals from the Berlin State Ballet. B. Iana Salenko can experience.

In the 2015/2016 season David Simic developed the choreography “Coppélia” with his students and “Welcome to the Town” in the 2016/2017 season.

He also brought Giorgio Madia's “Carnival of Animals” to the stage with the children .

Children's Ballet Company Berlin

In 2018 Simic changed the name to Kinder Ballett Kompagnie Berlin due to the likelihood of confusing the name of his ballet school with the State Ballet School Berlin and premiered the “Cinderella Ballet Suite” by the 13-year-old British-Israeli composer Alma Deutscher in October System Berlin. The “Cinderella Ballet Suite” is based on the music of the opera of the same name (2015/16) by Alma Deutscher, whose interpretation of the story is somewhat different than usual. In the ballet production, Cinderella will try to win the prince's heart with her dazzling pirouettes.
