David White (sound engineer)
David White is an Australian sound engineer .
Life
White began his career in 1988 with the Australian television film Fragments of War: The Story of Damien Parer about the cameraman Damien Parer . His first major international production was the science fiction film Dark City by Alex Proyas . Between 1999 and 2001 he worked on the television series Farscape , in 2004 he was involved in the miniseries Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars . From the mid-2000s he also worked in sound design and sound effects . In 2016 he was awarded an Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing for Mad Max: Fury Road together with Mark A. Mangini . For this film he was also nominated for the BAFTA Film Award in the Best Sound category.
