David Wilson, Baron Wilson of Tillyorn
David Clive Wilson, Baron Wilson of Tillyorn KT , GCMG ( Chinese 衛 奕 信 / 卫 奕 信 ; born February 14, 1935 in Alloa , Clackmannanshire ) is a British administrator, sinologist and diplomat.
Wilson was the 27th governor of Hong Kong from April 9, 1987 to July 9, 1992 . At the same time he was President of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong . From 2002 to 2008 he was a Masters at the Peterhouse at Cambridge University . In 1992 he was raised to a life peer as Baron Wilson of Tillyorn , of Finzean in the District of Kincardine and Deeside and of Fanling in Hong Kong, and has been a crossbencher member of the House of Lords ever since .
