Davida Allen
Davida Frances Allen (born October 20, 1951 in Charleville , Queensland ) is an Australian painter , film director and writer .
Life
Allen studied first with Betty Churcher at the Stuartholme School in Brisbane (1965-69) and later with Roy Churcher, her husband, at Brisbane Central Technical College. In 1986 she won the Archibald Prize for her portrait of her father-in-law, John Shera. She wrote and illustrated two books and created the 50-minute film Feeling Sexy in 1999 . Allen is represented in most of the major public collections in Australia.
